Harvest Time!

At this stage of the summer we are seeing some huge progress and some absolutly beautiful harvests from our vegetables and fruits. We have reached our quota for Pherm Brewing of 50lbs of Black berries and have completed that harvest (There are still some left on the vines but those are picked for the office). We also have picked enough Hops for Pherm brewing as well! Out of our vegetables we have picked from our string beans, the peppers in the high tunnel, the cherry tomatoes from the high tunnel, the cucumbers and the Zucchini. All of the produce have grown to a great size and we are very happy with what we have so far. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks and recent days of our harvests!

Here we have our blackberries! These pictures we taken at various times over the course of June and July. They are very tasty and sweet!

Here are our Hops! We have the most Hops from our Cascade and Comet varieties. The picture on the far right was taken by Brian Hufker as he set out the Hops to dry so they may be given to Pherm Brewing.

This is Mike, Dave and Brian as the worked in the high tunnel picking 30lbs of Peppers. Thye picked Jalapeno, Poblano and Banna peppers.

String Beans! Mike worked on and off for a whole day to pick through 2 rows of String Beans.

This is a picture of Mike taken by Dave as they picked the second batch of Zucchinis.

Dave, Brian, and Mike worked very hard to pick 2 giant batches of Cucumbers. Everyone took some home but we had so much extra we dontated to the Local Foodbank.

These are our Supersweet 100, Cherry Tomatoes. They are very delicous.
